About ARISE
ARISE (The Association for Reinventing School Education) is an autonomous body that brings together some of the country’s most progressive and intellectual minds including School Promoters, Edupreneurs & Leaders who remain committed and focused on serving as a beacon for change within the diverse and dynamic landscape of India’s school education system. Living up to the motto ‘Student First’, ARISE recognises the complexity and the unique challenges faced by both independent private schools and public / government schools and will continue to play an important role to be a collaborative platform to bring together forward-thinking school founders, educators, policy makers, think tanks, educationists, civil society experts and technical experts. As a collegium, ARISE represents over 1800+ Schools, 95,000 Teachers, and 1.5 Million Students.
Preamble
The Association for Reinventing School Education (ARISE) is committed to serving as a beacon for change within the diverse and dynamic landscape of India’s school education system.
Recognizing the complexity and the unique challenges faced by both independent and state schools, ARISE pledges to be a collaborative platform for forward-thinking school founders and educators who are dedicated to fostering innovation and sharing best practices.
A primary role of ARISE is to conduct ground level research, collate data and draw evidence based inferences of various state policies. With this ARISE strives to continually engage with various governments and advocate for policies that enhance the educational experience for all students.
ARISE acknowledges the pivotal role of education in shaping the future of our society, nation and the world at large. Therefore, in addition to advancing educational practices, ARISE members are motivated to contribute positively to the holistic development of students, ensuring their readiness to meet the challenges of tomorrow with resilience and adaptability.
Embracing the responsibility that comes with shaping young minds, ARISE upholds the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and mutual respect among its members. The association fosters an environment of open dialogue and continuous learning, aimed at empowering parents, building teacher capacity, and integrating cutting-edge technology to make learning accessible and equitable.
As an apex body, ARISE operates under the guidance of its Governing Body (GB), supported by the Secretariat, to ensure cohesive action and adherence to its founding principles by all the members. The commitment to a shared vision of reinventing school education drives ARISE and its members to not only envision but actively participate in the creation of an inclusive, innovative, and inspiring educational ecosystem across India.
The bye-laws of ARISE serve as the foundation for our collective journey towards reinventing school education. They are designed to reflect our core values and guide our actions. Amendments to these bye-laws shall undergo a thorough review by the GB, with final ratification by the ARISE Company Board (CB), ensuring that ARISE remains true to its mission while evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of the educational landscape.
Our Visionary Founders
The ARISE Founders are a distinguished group of 14 visionary leaders from across India, representing a broad spectrum of regions and states including New Delhi in the north, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh from central India, Gujarat from the west, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the south-central region, Karnataka from the vibrant south, and Odisha from the east. These founders, who have played a pivotal role in shaping ARISE, possess a unique opportunity to influence the organization’s direction and embody the strength and diversity of India’s regions on a national stage.

ARISE was incubated within the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in 2016 as a forum bringing together founders of leading schools to engage in structured dialogue on policy, innovation, and institutional development.
