Association for Reinventing School Education (ARISE) mounted a high-powered delegation of policymakers, promoters, and senior leaders from leading Indian independent and public K-12 schools to California, United States of America from April 8–17, 2024. This delegation comprised over 40 forward-looking school promoters from 14 Indian states and focused on gaining insights into the American educational model, understanding the effective application of technology and pedagogical techniques in K-12 education, and exploring emerging trends and technological advancements. As potential customers of these technologies, investors in startups, and partners in research, the delegation sought to identify and foster collaboration opportunities that could significantly impact the 300 million students in India.

The visit included a series of meetings, focused discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, school and company visits, and institutional tours. Highlights of the delegation’s activities were visits to progressive schools such as Palo Alto High School, GeoKids, and Khan Lab Schools (Lower & Upper) in the Bay Area, along with meetings with industry leaders from Apple, Adobe, and the Stanford Research Institute. The delegation also engaged in elevator pitches hosted by EDT & Partners featuring cutting-edge EdTech companies and participated in the ASU GSV Airshow + Summit in San Diego. These engagements provided valuable insights into Silicon Valley’s innovations, expanding ARISE’s global perspective and paving the way for transformative advancements in Indian education.
